Invite Team Members

Organization Account Owners and Admins can add additional team members to their Organization. This can be done through the Users & Access section in the Organization account settings.

Steps to Invite Team Members

  1. Required Role: Account Owner or Admin
  2. Navigate to Organization Settings at the bottom of the left sidebar
  3. Click Users & Access in the Organization Menu
  4. Press the Invite User button
  1. Enter the email address of the team member and specify the Projects they should have access to
  2. Under Roles & Permissions, choose the appropriate access levels, then click Invite.

Invitation Process

  • The invited team member will receive an email with a link to accept their invitation to the Organization
  • If they do not have a Faraway account, they will be prompted to create one during the acceptance process
  • Invitations expire after seven days, but you can resend the invitation if needed
  • You can revoke an invitation at any time before it is accepted.

Change Team Member Roles

As an Account Owner or Admin, you can modify team member roles in the Users & Access section.

Steps to Change Roles

  1. Required Role: Account Owner or Admin
  2. Navigate to Organization SettingsUsers & Access
  3. Open the table menu for the desired user and select Edit Permissions
  1. Modify the roles under Roles & Permissions, then click Save.

Delete Team Members

Admins can also remove users from the Organization when needed.

Steps to Delete a User

  1. Navigate to Organization SettingsUsers & Access
  2. Open the table menu for the user and select Remove from Organization
  1. Confirm the deletion

Alternative Flow

  • Select the checkbox near the user's email.
  • Click Remove on the bottom right, then confirm in the dialog box.
  • This method allows you to delete multiple users at once.

Transfer Account Owner Role

If you need to transfer the Account Owner role to another user:

  • Submit a request to [email protected].
  • Ensure the recipient has a Faraway account before initiating the transfer

Developer Portal Roles

When you first join the Faraway Developer Portal, you are assigned the Account Owner role. You can invite other users and assign them roles that determine their access and permissions.
